MY FIRST FA CUP FINAL MEMORY!

FA Cup winners Tony Adams and Micah Richards, plus BBC MOTD 2 Presenter Mark Chapman tell us about the very first FA Cup Final they remember watching!

TONY ADAMS!

Tony says: “I think it was 1975, West Ham verses Fulham. I come out the east end of London, but obviously I played for Arsenal for 22 years… I was ten years of age, getting on the bus, going to Wembley and watching a magnificent game!”

Three times FA Cup Winner: 1992-93, 1997-98, 2001-02

MICAH RICHARDS!

Micah says: “I can’t even remember that far back to be honest! I didn’t really watch finals until I was 14, 15 really, because I didn’t really know too much about football, I just played for fun!”

FA Cup Winner: 2009-10

MARK CHAPMAN!

Mark says: “The first ever FA Cup Final I remember was 1981, which was Manchester City versus Tottenham. It went to a replay, because they had replays back then! The first game ended 1-1 on a Saturday afternoon, and then the replay was played on a Thursday evening under the lights at Wembley, and included one of the greatest ever FA Cup goals which was scored by an Argentinian called Ricky Villa who played for Tottenham!”
