The first EVER Prem winter break starts this weekend – here’s a 60-second guide to it all!

WHAT IS IT?

One game week of top-flight fixtures are being staggered over TWO weekends.

So, there are four games this weekend with the remaining six matches being played the following weekend!

WHY IS IT HAPPENING?

Basically, so players can have a rest!

It means all the players get one weekend off – it also means teams don’t have to train all week either so players can have time off to recharge their batteries!

DO ALL TEAMS GET AN EQUAL BREAK?

No, they don’t!

Chelsea and Man. United have got the longest breaks (15 days each), while unlucky Southampton only have nine football-free days because of their FA Cup replay against Tottenham!
